Fog Watch
♦ Fog: Fog/shallow fog has been observed in morning hours over isolated pockets of Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand and Tripura.
Cold Watch
♦ Temperatures: Maximum temperature were below normal by 24°C over many places over Gujarat states, northwest, central and east India. They were above normal by 24°C over some parts of northeastern States and nearly normal over rest parts of the country.
Main Weather Observations
♦ RAINFALL: Rain/thundershowers occurred at a few places over Andaman & Nicobar Islands and Kerala and at isolated places over Lakshadweep. Weather remained mainly dry/dry over rest of the country. The amounts of rainfall (1 cm or more) recorded at 1730 hours IST of yesterday were : Kottayam4; Kochi and Valprai3 each and Portblair, Mayabandar and Kanniyakumari1 each.
♦ Kalpana1: Cloud imagery at 0530 hours IST shows convective clouds over some parts of Jammu & Kashmir, Kerala, Tamilnadu, south Bay of Bengal, Andaman sea, southeast Arabian sea and Comorin area. Low/medium clouds are seen over rest Western Himalayan region and some parts of northeastern states, Odisha and peninsular India.
