♦ RAINFALL: Rain/thundershowers has occurred  at many  places over coastal Andhra Pradesh, Tamilnadu and Kerala; at a few places northeastern states, Odisha, West  Bengal & Sikkim, Andaman & Nicobar Islands and Lakshadweep  at isolated places  over Uttrakhand, Bihar,  Konkan & Goa and Rayalaseema. Weather remained mainly dry/dry over rest parts of the country. The amounts  of rainfall (2 cm or more) recorded at   0830 hours IST of today are:   Chennai(City)­8; Chennai(APT)­7; Kavali,  Nellore   and   Panagarh­5   each; Nagapattanam,   Pamban,   Kolkatta   and   Shantiniketan­3   each   and   Karaikal, Valparai, Punalur, Chandbali, Lengpui, Passighat, Basirhat, Jagdalpur, Puri and Bhubaneshwar­2 each.

♦ Temperatures: Minimum temperatures are near normal over most parts of the country.

♦  Kalpana­1: Cloud imagery at 0830  hours IST shows convective clouds over some parts of  Andhra Pradesh,south interior Karnataka, Tamilnadu,   southeast Arabian sea, Bay of Bengal and Andaman sea.Low/medium clouds are seen over rest parts of peninsular India and over parts of east & northeast India.
