♦ RAINFALL: Rain/thundershowers occurred at most places over Tamilnadu and coastal Andhra Pradesh; at many places over Andaman & Nicobar Islands; at a few places over Odisha, Assam & Meghalaya and Kerala; at isolated places over Telangana, Interior Karnataka, Gangetic West Bengal, Chhattisgarh. Weather remained mainly dry/dry over rest parts of the country. The chief amounts of rainfall (2 cm or more) recorded at 1730 hours IST of yesterday were: Kalingapatnam9; Nellore7; Bankura6; Dharmapuri, Kakinada, Bhubaneshwar4 each; Hutbay, Kavali, Tondi, Vishakhapatnam, Raipur, Ongole3 each and Noncowry, Carnicobar and Bangalore2 each.
♦ Temperatures: Maximum temperatures were above normal by 24°C over west Rajasthan and Jammu & Kashmir and they were below normal by 27°C over most parts of Odisha, Chhattisgarh, Tamilnadu and coastal Andhra Pradesh and some parts of Arunachal Pradesh, Tripura and Andaman & Nicobar Islands and nearly normal over rest parts of the country.
♦ Kalpana1: Cloud imagery at 0530 hours IST shows convective clouds over some parts of coastal Odisha, Gangetic West Bengal, Andhra Pradesh, interior Karnataka, Tamilnadu, Kerala, southeast Arabian sea, Bay of Bengal and Andaman sea. Low/medium clouds are seen over rest parts of India outside Rajasthan, Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh and Bihar
