♦ Southwest monsoon has been active over Andaman & Nicobar Islands, south interior Karnataka and Kerala.
♦ RAINFALL: Rain/thundershower occurred at most places over west coast, Gujarat State and south interior Karnataka; at many places over Madhya Pradesh and Sub Himalayan West Bengal & Sikkim; at a few places over north interior Karnataka, Himachal Pradesh and Chhattisgarh and isolated places over Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Jharkhand, Assam & Meghalaya, Odisha, Vidarbha, Gangetic West Bengal and Bihar and mainly dry over rest parts of the country. The chief amounts of rainfall (3 cm or more) recorded at 0830 hours IST of today are: Dharamsala13; Agumbe 11; Madikeri, Dehradun and Kottayam8 each; Mayabandar and Minicoy6 each; Cannur5; Alapuzha, Kochi, Hutbay, Carnicobar and Daltonganj4 each and Mahabaleshwar, Shirali, Banda and Umaria3 each.
♦ TEMPERATURES: Minimum temperatures are below normal by 23°C at many places over Saurashtra & Kutch, Madhya Maharashtra and Konkan & Goa. They are above normal by 26°C at many places over west Madhya Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir and SubHimalayan West Bengal & Sikkim, Arunachal
Pradesh and coastal Andhra Pradesh and nearly normal over rest of the country.
♦ Kalpana1: Cloud imagery at 1430 hours IST shows convective clouds over parts of Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, east Rajasthan, east Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Odisha, northcoastal Andhra Pradesh, Arunachal Pradesh and Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram & Tripura, Bay of Bengal, Andaman sea and Lakshadweep. Low/ medium clouds are seen over rest parts of the country.
