♦ RAINFALL: Rain/thundershower occurred  at most places  over   coastal Karnataka and Madhya Pradesh;  at many places  over interior Maharashtra, Odisha, Chhattisgarh, Jammu & Kashmir, north Andhra Pradesh, West Bengal & Sikkim; at a few places over Rajasthan, Jharkhand, Punjab  and northeastern states and  at isolated places  over Tamilnadu, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand.  Weather remained mainly dry over rest parts of the country. The chief amounts of rainfall (3 cm or more) recorded at 1730 hours IST of yesterday were:  Valparai­ 9;   Washim­7;   Mahabaleshwar­6;   Ambala   and   Honavar­5   each;   Palakkad   and   Agumbe­4   each   and Mukteshwar, Hissar, Bhira, Dahanu, Pachmarhi, Bulsar, Brahmapuri, Indore, Cannur, Nedumbassery  and Hassan­3 each.

TEMPERATURES:  Maximum   temperatures   were   below   normal   by   2­6°C   at   many   places   over Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh, Odisha and Gujarat and at few places over east Rajasthan, Haryana and  Madhya Pradesh.  They were above normal by 2­4°C  at many places over northeastern states and coastal Tamilnadu and nearly  normal over rest parts of the country.

♦  Kalpana­1: Cloud imagery at 0530 hours IST shows convective clouds over parts of Jammu & Kashmir, Punjab, west Rajasthan, Gujarat, Maharashtra,  north Karnataka, Assam & Meghalaya,  southeast   Bay of Bengal, Andaman sea and  east Arabian  Sea. Low/ medium clouds are seen over rest parts of the country.
