♦ Southwest monsoon was vigorous over Vidarbha and Chhattisgarh and active over Odisha, west Uttar Pradesh, east Madhya Pradesh, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathawada and Telangana.
♦ RAINFALL: Rain/thundershower occurred at most places over Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra and west coast; at many places over Assam & Meghalaya, Sub Himalayan West Bengal & Sikkim, Odisha and interior Karnataka; at a few places over Gujarat state, east Rajasthan and Jharkhand and at one or two places over Bihar, west Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab, Uttarakhand, Jammu & Kashmir and Andaman & Nicobar Islands. The chief amounts of rainfall (3 cm or more) recorded at 1730 hours IST of yesterday were: Shajapur14; Mahabaleshwar12; Pachmarhi7; Dehradun & Bramhapuri6 each; Khandwa, Chandrapur and Durg5 each; Gondia, Ramagundam and Nizamabad4 each and Shivpuri, Sheopur, Ujjain, Raigarh, Yeotmal, Nagpur, Golaghat, Haflong, Bhira, Buldana and Kota3 each.
♦ TEMPERATURES: Maximum temperatures were below normal by 26°C over many places over Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Odisha and Gujarat state and at a few places over east Rajasthan, west Uttar Pradesh and Jharkhand. They were above normal by 24°C at many places over Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, and Jammu & Kashmir and nearly normal over rest parts of the country.
♦ Kalpana1: Cloud imagery at 0530 hours IST shows convective clouds over parts of Jammu & Kashmir, Punjab, Rajasthan, west Uttar Pradesh, west Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, northeastern States, southeast Bay of Bengal, Andaman sea and east Arabian Sea. Low/ medium
clouds are seen over rest parts of the country
