♦  Southwest monsoon has been vigorous over Vidarbha and Chhattisgarh and active over Odisha, west Uttar Pradesh, east Madhya Pradesh, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathawada and Telangana.

RAINFALL: Rain/thundershower has occurred at most places along west coast,  Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, Vidarbha and Assam & Meghalaya; at many   places  over  Jammu   &  Kashmir,   Uttarakhand,   east   Uttar   Pradesh,   south   Gujarat,   Marathawada, Madhya   Maharashtra,   Chhattisgarh,  West   Bengal   &   Sikkim,   Telangana,   Arunachal   Pradesh,   Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram & Tripura and Andaman & Nicobar Islands;  at a  few places  over Himachal Pradesh, Haryana,  west  Uttar Pradesh,  east  Rajasthan,  north  Gujarat,  Jharkhand, Interior Karnataka  and  coastal Andhra Pradesh and and at one or two  places over rest parts of the country. The chief amounts of rainfall (5 cm or more) recorded at 0830 hours IST of today are: Mahabaleshwar­14; Titlagarh, Rajnandgaon and Raipur­13 each; Tinsukhiya and Betul­10 each;  Alibagh, Pachmarhi and Chandrapur­9 each; Lengpui, Jorhat and Mana­8 each; Durg, Dahanu, Bhira, Hoshangabad, Raisen and north Lakhimpur­7 each; Fursatganj, Gondia, Agumbe, Adilabad, Hirakud and Bhawanipatna­6 each and   Nizamabad, Nagpur and Tikamgarh­5 each.

TEMPERATURES: Minimum temperatures are above normal by 2­3°C over many parts of Bihar, Sub­ Himalayan West Bengal & Sikkim, Tamilnadu and isolated pockets of northwest India. They are below normal by 2­4°C over parts of  Odisha, Vidarbha and Assam and near normal over rest parts of the country.

♦  Kalpana­1: Cloud imagery at 1430 hours IST shows convective clouds over parts of  Rajasthan, Haryana &   Delhi,   west   Uttar   Pradesh,   Gujarat,   Maharashtra,   north   Andhra   Pradesh,   north   Karnataka,   Madhya Pradesh, Jharkhand, northeastern state, north & central Bay of Bengal and Andaman Sea. Low/ medium clouds are seen over rest parts of the country.
