TEMPERATURES:  Maximum temperatures were above normal by 2­4°C over some  parts of western Himalayan region, west Rajasthan, Bihar, north Chhattisgarh, interior Odisha and  northeastern States. They were below normal by about 4­6°C over many parts of interior Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh; by 2­3°C over some  parts of Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra and north Tamilnadu and  near normal over  rest parts of the
country.

RAINFALL: Rain/thundershower occurred  at most places  over west coast;  at many places  over east Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, interior Maharashtra,  north interior Karnataka and north Andhra Pradesh; at a few places over west Uttar
Pradesh, east Rajasthan, Jharkhand, Gangetic West Bengal, Odisha and Lakshadweep and at one or two places  over  rest parts of the country outside Saurashtra & Kutch, Bihar,   Sub­ Himalaya West Bengal & Sikkim and Arunachal Pradesh   where weather remain mainly dry.   The chief amounts of rainfall (3 cm or more) recorded at 1730 hours IST of yesterday were: Chandrapur­11, Agumbe­7; Kota and Rajgarh­6 each; Gondia, Mahabaleshwar, Lucknow, Katra, Bareilly and Mana­5 each; Damoh, Sholapur, Bulsar, Jagdalpur, Durg and Honavar­4 each and Kalingapatnam, Yeotmal, Gopalpur and Sultanpur­3 each.

♦   Kalpana­1:  Cloud imagery at 0530 hours IST  shows  convective  clouds over parts of south Madhya Pradesh,  west  Rajasthan, Gujarat,   south  Chhattisgarh, Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka,  north Tamilnadu, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Nagaland, Bay of Bengal, Andaman Sea and southeast Arabian Sea. Low/ medium clouds are seen over rest parts of the country.

♦ Southwest monsoon  was active over Odisha, Konkan & Goa, Saurashtra & Kutch, Chhattisgarh and Telangana.
