Southwest monsoon has been active over west Uttar Pradesh, Punjab,  Konkan & Goa, coastal Karnataka and  south interior Karnataka.

TEMPERATURES:   Maximum temperatures  are  above  normal  by  2­3°C  over  some  parts  of West Rajasthan, Odisha and northeastern states. They are below normal by about 2­4°C over many parts of  east Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha &  south  peninsular India  and near  normal  over  rest  parts  of the country.

RAINFALL: Rain/thundershower has occurred  at most   places  along   West   coast;  at   many   places  over   Rajasthan,   Gujarat   region,   Madhya   Pradesh, Chhattisgarh,  Odisha, West Bengal & Sikkim, Andaman &  Nicobar  islands;  at  a  few  places  over  rest
Maharashtra and at one or two places over western Himalayan region, Uttar Pradesh, Saurashtra & Kutch, rest Karnataka and Tamilnadu. Weather remain mainly dry over  rest parts of the country.  The chief amounts of  rainfall  (2 cm or more)  recorded at 1730 hours IST of today are: Bhira­8; Harnai, Mahabaleshwar and Surrender Nagar­5 each; Alibag, Ratnagiri and   Gopalpur­4 each; Guna, Ambikapur, Valparai, Cannur and
Puri­3 each and Punalur, Shimla, Bilaspur, Kolhapur, Bikaner, Chittorgarh, Honavar, Agumbe, Mangalore, Orai, Kanpur and Phulbani­ 2 each.

♦   Kalpana­1:  Cloud imagery at 1730 hours IST shows convective clouds over parts of   Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh,  central, west, south, east & northeast India, Bay of Bengal, Andaman Sea and east Arabian Sea. Low/ medium clouds are seen over rest parts of the country.
