Weather News India 19 July 2013 Rainfall Forecast


RAINFALL: Rain/thundershower has occurred  at most places over  Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Telangana  and  along west  coast;  at many places  over Himachal Pradesh, Gujarat, region, west Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal & Sikkim, northeastern states, coastal Andhra Pradesh, interior Karnataka, Lakshadweep and Andaman & Nicobar Islands; at a few places  over  Jammu & Kashmir,  Uttarakhand,  east  Uttar Pradesh,  east Rajasthan, Saurashtra & Kutch,
Chhattisgarh, Odisha and Rayalaseema and  at one or two places  over   rest parts of the country except Punjab, west Rajasthan where weather remained mainly dry. The chief amounts of rainfall (4 cm or more) recorded at 0830 hours IST of today are: Ramagundam­18; Medikeri­15; Mahabaleshwar­14; Jalpaiguri­13;
Agumbe­12; Bhira­11; Hanamkonda­8, Kochi, Vengurla, Goa(Panjim), Tikamgarh and Nedumbassery­7 each; Siliguri   and   Bramhapuri­6   each;   Nizamabad,   Alapuzha,   Honavar,   Passighat,   Nalgonda­5   each   and Machilipatnam, Karipur, Cannur, Kozhikode, Mangalore, Karwar, Guna, Ratnagiri, Long Island, Portblair  and Kottayam­4 each.

TEMPERATURES: Minimum temperatures   are above normal by 2­4°C over many parts of Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, west Rajasthan, Bihar and Jharkhand. They are below normal by 2­3°C over some parts of coastal Andhra Pradesh and isolated pockets of interior Andhra Pradesh and near normal
over rest parts of the country.

♦  Kalpana­1: Cloud imagery at 0830 hours IST shows convective clouds over parts of Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh,  east Rajasthan,  northwest Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, Sub­Himalayan West Bengal, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Tamilnadu, Kerala, Bay of Bengal, Andaman sea and southeast Arabian sea. Low/ medium clouds are seen over rest parts of the country.
