Weather News India 15 July 2013 Rainfall Forecast


TEMPERATURES: Maximum temperatures were below normal by 4­6°C over many   parts   of Madhya   Pradesh,   Gujarat   region   and   interior   Maharashtra;   by   2­3°C  over   some   parts   of   east   Rajasthan, Saurashtra & Kutch and north Andhra Pradesh. They were above normal by 2­3°C over some parts of   some parts of western Himalaya  region, Uttar Pradesh and Bihar and isolated pockets of northeastern States and extreme south peninsular India. They were near normal over rest parts of the country.

RAINFALL: Rain/thundershower occurred at  many places over Madhya Pradesh; at a few places over Odisha,Vidarbha and coastal & north interior Karnataka and at one or two places over rest parts of the country outside  Jammu & Kashmir, west Rajasthan, Bihar, Gangetic West Bengal, Rayalaseema and Tamilnadu where weather remained mainly dry. The chief amounts of rainfall (2 cm or more) recorded at 1730 hours IST of   yesterday were: Panchmari­10; Gondia­8; Rajgarh­5; Jamshedpur and long   Islands­4   each; Khajuraho and Jabalpur­3 each and Dharamshala, Delhi (Ridge), Mahabaleshwar, Bhira, Seoni and Chandbali­2 each.

♦   Kalpana­1:  Cloud imagery at 0530 hours IST shows convective clouds over parts of   Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, south Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, east Rajasthan,   north Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Bay of Bengal, Andaman sea and eastcentral Arabian sea. Low/ medium clouds are seen over  rest  parts  of the  country  out  side Punjab, Haryana, west Rajasthan, Bihar,  Jharkhand  and West
Bengal.
