TEMPERATURES:  Yesterday's maximum temperatures  were above normal by  2­4°C  over  some   parts of   Himachal Pradesh, Haryana, north Rajasthan, east Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, Sub­Himalayan West Bengal & Sikkim, Arunachal
Pradesh,   Assam, Tripura and Tamilnadu, They were below normal by 4­7°C over many parts of west Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha and some parts of Chhattisgarh; by 2­3°C over many parts of Madhya Pradesh and Madhya Maharashtra and isolated
pockets  of east Rajasthan, west Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat region and Telangana and near normal over rest parts of the country.

RAINFALL: Rain/thundershower occurred at  many places  over Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Telangana and along west coast; at a few  places over Himachal Pradesh, east Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Marathawada, Madhya Maharashtra, interior Karnataka, northeastern states and Andaman & Nicobar Islands and at one or two places over rest parts of the country outside west Rajasthan, Bihar, Jharkhand and Gujarat state where weather remained mainly dry. The chief amounts of rainfall (3 cm or more) recorded at 1730 hours IST of  yesterday were: Wardha­8;  Churu, Port Blair, Sundernagar,  Hut Bay­4  each;  Jaipur, Seoni, Mahabaleshwar, Washim, Pallakkad, Agumbe, Medikeri, Shirali, Indore, Panchmari, Betul, Paradip­3 each.

♦   Kalpana­1:  Cloud imagery at 0530 hours IST shows convective clouds over parts of Himachal Pradesh, Punjab,   east Madhya Pradesh, south Gujarat, Vidarbha, south Odisha, Andhra Pradesh, interior Karnataka, Tamilnadu, Kerala, Arunachal
Pradesh, Assam, Bay of Bengal, Andaman sea and southeast Arabian sea. Low/ medium clouds are seen over rest parts of the country.
