Weather News India 12 July 2013 Rainfall Forecast


♦ TEMPERATURES:  Minimum   temperatures are   above   normal   by   2­3°C   at   many   places   over   Punjab, Haryana, Chhattisgarh, Delhi and at a few places over Sub­Himalayan West Bengal & Sikkim and Assam & Meghalaya. They are below normal by 2­3°C   at many places over Andhra Pradesh, west coast and Gujarat
region and at one or two places over interior Maharashtra, west Madhya Pradesh and Jammu & Kashmir and nearly normal over rest parts of the country.

♦ RAINFALL: Rain/thundershowers  has occurred at  most places   along West Bengal & Sikkim, Chhattisgarh, Odisha, Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra, east Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, and Kerala; at  many places  over  Uttarakhand,  Uttar Pradesh, west Madhya
Pradesh,  Jharkhand  and northeastern states;  at a few places   Bihar, Himachal Pradesh and  at one or two places over east Rajasthan and Tamilnadu. The chief amounts of rainfall (4 cm or more) recorded at 0830 IST of today are: Bulsar­41, Bhamragarh­25, Mahabaleshwar­15, Dahanu­13, Bhira­12, Vengurla­11, Agumbe, Raipur,
Hyderabad and Kohima­9 each,  Puri, Baroda, Chandrapur and Honavar­8 each,   Nalgonda, Medikeri, Panjim, Lumding   and   Goa   (Dabolim)­7   each,   Harnai,   Alibag   and   Gondia­6   each,   Shirali,   Karwar,   Ratnagiri   and Mangalore­5   each   and   Ganavaram,   Agathi,   Rajnandgaon,   Seoni,   Khandwa,   Sultanpur,   Varanasi(Bapatpur), Kozikode, Gopalpur, Bhawanipatna, Parbhani and Ambikapur­4 each.

♦  Kalpana­1: Cloud imagery at 0830 hours IST shows convective clouds over parts of  east Rajasthan, Assam & Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram & Tripura, Madhya Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Kerala,  central Bay of Bengal, Andaman Sea, west coast , Lakshadweep and east Arabian sea. Low/
medium clouds are seen over rest parts of the country.
