TEMPERATURES: Heat   wave   conditions   are   prevailing   at   isolated   pockets   of   north   Rajasthan.  Maximum temperatures are above normal by 2­4°C over some parts of  Rajasthan, West Bengal, Assam, Manipur, Tripura and coastal Gujarat.  They are below normal by 2­4°C  over many parts of  Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka and Kerala; at a few places over Uttarakhand, Punjab, Haryana, Odisha and Tamilnadu and they are near normal over rest parts of the country. Stations where maximum temperatures more than  45°C are Churu­46.3, Ganganagar­45.6 and Bikaner­45.4.

RAINFALL: Rainfall  has occurred  at  many places  over  Jammu & Kashmir, Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Kerala, Coastal Karnataka; at a few places over Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Konkan & Goa, Marathawada and  at one or two places over Haryana, Rajasthan,   Uttar Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Sub­Himalayan West Bengal & Sikkim, Assam & Meghalaya and  Tamilnadu. Weather remained mainly dry over rest parts of the country. The chief amounts of rainfall (1 cm or more) recorded at 1730 hours IST of  today are:  Mahabaleshwar­4, Agumbe­3, Sundernagar, Thiruvananthapuram (A/P) ­2 each, Solan,  Shimla, Koraput, Cooch Behar, Shirali, Goa (Dabolim), Thiruvananthapuram and Thrissur­1 each.

Kalpana­1: Cloud imagery at  1730 hours IST shows convective clouds over parts of Uttarakhand, east Uttar Pradesh,  Bihar, Chhattisgarh,Jharkhand, Odisha, Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra, Saurashtra, Bay of Bengal, Andaman sea and Arabian sea. Low/medium clouds are seen over  rest parts of the country outside Haryana
