Weather India 15 May 2013 Rainfall Forecast


TEMPERATURES: Minimum temperatures are below normal by 23° C over some parts of Madhya Pradesh and Vidarbha and isolated pockets of Haryana and north Rajasthan. They are above normal by 23° C over some parts of south Rajasthan, Gujarat region, Bihar and interior south peninsula and over isolated pockets of east & northeast India and near normal over rest of the country.
RAINFALL: Rain/thundershowers has occurred at many places over Jammu & Kashmir, SubHimalayan West Bengal & Sikkim and Andaman & Nicobar Islands; at a few places over north coastal Andhra Pradesh, Gangetic West Bengal and northeastern States and
at one or two places over Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Haryana, Odisha and Karnataka. Weather remained mainly dry over rest parts of the country. The chief amounts of rainfall (1 cm or more) recorded at 0830 hours IST of today are: Machilipatnam and Coochbehar3 each, Jalpaiguri2 and Darjeeling and Tehri1 each.
CLOUDS: Kalpana1 Cloud imagery at 1430 hours IST shows convective clouds over parts of Odisha, westcentral & northwest Bay of Bengal and north Andaman Sea. Low/medium clouds are seen over parts of western Himalayan region, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, West Bengal & Sikkim, northeast and peninsular India.
