♦ TEMPERATURES: Yesterday, maximum temperatures were below normal by 23°
C at a few places over Punjab, Haryana, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Tamilnadu and Kerala. They were above normal by 23° C at a few places over Odisha, Andhra Pradesh, Assam and Tripura and at one or two places over Karnataka and interior Maharashtra. They were near normal over rest of thr country, The highest maximum temperature of 43.5°C was recorded at Ramgundam(Andhra Pradesh) in the country.
♦ RAINFALL:Rain/thundershowers occurred at a few places over Andaman & Nicobar Islands and at one or two places over Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Arunachal Pradesh, Sikkim, Jharkhand, west Madhya Pradesh, Kerala and Tamilnadu. Weather remained mainly dry over rest parts of the country. The chief amounts of rainfall (1 cm or more) recorded at 1730 hours IST of yesterday were: Punalur7 and Mukteshwar1.
♦ CLOUDS: Kalpana1 Cloud imagery at 0530 hours IST shows convective clouds over parts of Jammu & Kashmir, coastal Andhra Pradesh, north Tamilnadu, southwest & central Bay of Bengal and north Andaman sea. Low/medium clouds are seen over parts of rest Western Himalayan Region, Chhattisgarh, northeast, east and south peninsular India.
