♦ TEMPERATURES: Yesterday's maximum temperatures were below normal by 23°
C at one or two places over Odisha, coastal Andhra Pradesh and interior Karnataka. They were above normal by 24° C over some parts of Rajasthan, west Madhya
Pradesh, Tamilnadu and Andaman & Nicobar Islands and over isolated pockets of Western Himalayan Region, Punjab, Haryana, east Uttar Pradesh, interior Gujarat, interior Andhra Pradesh and Assam and near normal over rest of the country. The
highest maximum temperature of 45.5°C was recorded at Barmer (Rajasthan).
Minimum temperature are above normal by 23° C over some parts of Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand and interior Maharashtra and isolated pockets of south Rajasthan, Bihar, Assam and Tamilnadu. They are below normal by 23° C over isolated pockets of
north Rajasthan and east Madhya Pradesh and near normal over rest parts of the country.
♦ RAINFALL:Rainfall has occurred at many places over Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram & Tripura and Andaman & Nicobar Islands at a few places over Arunachal Pradesh, Assam & Meghahalya and at one or two places over Odisha, West Bengal & Sikkim, Bihar, Madhya Maharashtra, Kerala and north Tamilnadu. Weather remained mainly dry over rest parts of the country. The amounts of rainfall (1cm or more) recorded at 0830 hours IST of today are: Agartala8, Kailashahar3, Lengpui2 and Silchar, Halflong, Lumding, Hutbay and Basirhat1 each.
♦ CLOUDS: Kalpana1 Cloud imagery at 0830 hours IST shows convective clouds over parts of north Odisha, Gangetic West Bengal, north & southeast Bay of Bengal, Mizoram, Tripura and Meghalaya. Low/medium clouds are seen over parts of north
Haryana, west Uttar Pradesh, peninsular India, rest east & northeast India.
