♦ TEMPERATURES: Yesterday, heat wave conditions prevailing over some parts of Vidarbha and isolated pockets of east Uttar Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, north Madhya Pradesh and interior Andhra Pradesh. The maximum temperatures were recorded 45.0°C and more were Nagpur (AP)46.7, Allahabad46.3, Brahampuri45.9, Wardha45.8,
Chanderapur45.6, Amroti45.2, Raipur (AP)45.1, Banda45.0, Khajuraho45.0 and Rentachintala45.0° C. Today's minimum temperature are above normal by 24° C over some parts of western Himalayan region, east Rajasthan, Odisha and south Andhra Pradesh. They are below normal by 24° C over some parts of Madhya Pradesh and isolated pockets of west Uttar Pradesh and Konkan. They are near normal over rest parts of the country.
RAINFALL:Rain/thundershowers has occurred at many places over Assam & Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura and at a few places over south interior Karnataka and Lakshadweep and at one or two places over Jammu & Kashmir, SubHimalayan West Bengal & Sikkim, Arunachal Pradesh, Telangana, Kerala, Tamilnadu and Andaman & Nicobar Islands. Weather remained mainly dry over rest of the country. The chief amount of rainfall (1 cm or more) recorded at 0830 hrs. IST of today are: Kailashahr8; Lengpui7; Cherrapunji6; Guwahati5; Silchar4; Agartala and Agathi3 each; Gangtok, Tezpur, Imphal, Kohima and Bengaluru2 each and Tadong, Shillong, Tangla, Rangia, Cooch Behar and Yercaud1 each.
CLOUDS: Kalpana1 Cloud imagery at 0830 hours IST shows convective clouds over some parts of Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, south Bay of Bengal and south Arabian sea. Low/medium clouds are seen over some parts of Western Himalayan region, Haryana, Rajasthan, Gujarat, northwest Madhya Pradesh, peninsula and northeastern states.
