♦ TEMPERATURES : Minimum temperatures are below normal by 46° C over many parts of east and central India; by 23° C over some parts of north Rajasthan, south Konkan & Goa and coastal Karnataka. They are above normal by about 2°C over some parts of Saurashtra & Kutch and Tamilnadu and near normal over rest parts of the country. They are near normal over rest parts of the country. The lowest minimum temperature of 15.2°C recorded at Kanpur (Uttar Pradesh) in plains of the country.
♦ RAINFALL: Rain/thunderstorms occurred at many places over east Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal & Sikkim, Odisha, northcoastal Andhra Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh; at a few places over east Rajasthan, Assam & Meghalaya and at one or two places over Haryana, Saurashtra & Kutch, Madhya Pradesh, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram & Tripura, Rayalaseema and Tamilnadu. Weather remained mainly dry over rest parts of the country. The amounts of rainfall (1 cm or more) recorded at 0830 hours IST of today are: Bhubaneswar4 Jagdalpur, Koraput, Pendra, Kalingpong, Kodaikanal, Sundernagar and Bhagalpur3 each, Gopalpur, Chandbali, Ballia, Tadong, Ganavaram, Purnea and Gangtok2 each and Indore, Narsapur, Kolkatta, Malda, Varanasi, Shantiniketan, Machilipatnam, Pahalgaon, Ajmer, Ujjain, Raipur, Burdwan, Gondia and Mana1each.
♦ CLOUDS: Kalpana1 Cloud imagery at 1430 hours IST shows convective clouds are seen over some parts of Gujarat, south coastal Andhra Pradesh, northeastern states and westcentral Bay of Bengal. Low/medium clouds over rest parts of the country.
