♦ TEMPERATURES: Minimum temperatures are below normal by 24° C over many parts of Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, west Bengal, Assam, Odisha, Chhattisgarh, east Madhya Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh & west Rajasthan and some parts of western Himalayan region & south interior Karnataka and near normal over rest parts of the country. The lowest minimum temperature of 15.0°C recorded at Rewa (Madhya Pradesh) in the plains of the country.
♦ RAINFALL : Rain/thunderstorms has occurred at many places over Arunachal Pradesh, Assam & Meghalaya; at a few places over Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram & Tripura, northernparts of West Bengal & Sikkim, Bihar, Gujarat, coastal Andhra Pradesh and Andaman & Nicobar Islands and at one or two places over Jammu & Kashmir, Rajasthan, west Uttar Pradesh, north Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, interior Andhra Pradesh,south interior Karnataka and Tamilnadu. Weather remained mainly dry over rest parts of the country. The amounts of rainfall (1 cm or more) recorded at 0830 hours IST of today are: Bhuj and Purnia5 each, Tirupati4, Bhagalpur3, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Tuni2 each and Malda, Vijaywada, Bangalore, Dibrugarh, Cherrapunji, Valpari, Ongole, Nancowry and Gannavamam1 each.
♦ CLOUDS: Kalpana1 Cloud imagery at 0830 hours IST shows convective clouds are seen over some parts of south Bay of Bengal. Low/medium clouds are seen over parts of Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, interior Maharashtra and Sub Himalayan West Bengal & Sikkim and northeastern states.
