♦ TEMPERATURES: Minimum temperatures are above normal by 23° C over some parts of east Rajasthan, Bihar and isolated pockets of north Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura and interior Karnataka. They are near normal over rest of the country. The lowest minimum temperature of 16.0°C recorded at Najibabad (Uttar Pradesh) in the plains of country.
♦ RAINFALL: Rain/thunderstorm has occurred at a few places over Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya and Gangetic West Bengal and at one or two places over Himachal Pradesh, north Odisha, Sikkim and Nagaland. Weather remained mainly dry over rest parts of the country. The chief amounts of rainfall (1 cm or more) recorded at 0830 hours IST of today are: Tinsukhia and Dibrugarh4
each, Kolkata(Dum Dum), Itanagar, Cherrapunji, Majbat and Halflong2 each and Shimla and Silchar1 each.
♦ CLOUDS: Cloud imagery at 0830 hours IST shows convective cloud over parts of northeastern states and south Andaman Sea. Low/medium clouds over parts of western Himalayan region, Punjab, Haryana, east Uttar Pradesh, east Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Telengana and east India.
