TEMPERATURES: Minimum temperatures are above normal by 24° C over some parts of Himachal Pradesh, Uttrakhand, Punjab, west Rajasthan, Saurashtra & Kutch, Bihar, Sub Himalayan West Bengal & Sikkim, Assam, Tamilnadu and Andaman & Nicobar Islands. They are below normal by 24° C over many parts of Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh and Odisha and some parts of north Karnataka, north Andhra Pradesh and Chhattisgarh and near normal over rest of the country. The lowest minimum temperature of 7.0°C has been recorded at Rewa (Madhya Pradesh) in plains of the country. ♦ RAINFALL :Rainfall has occurred at many places over Andaman & Nicobar Islands; at a few places over coastal Tamilnadu and at one or two places over Kerala. Weather remained mainly dry over rest parts of the country.The chief amount of rainfall (1cm or more) recorded at 0830 hours IST of today are: Carnicobar6, Pamban and Vedaranniyam4 each, HutBay and Atiramapattinam2 each and Nagapattinam1.
♦ CLOUDS: Kalpana1 Cloud imagery at 1430 hours IST shows low/medium clouds over some parts of western Himalayan region, Andhra Pradesh, Tamilnadu, Kerala and Lakshadweep.
