TEMPERATURES: Minimum temperatures are above normal by 24° C over many parts of northwest India, Gujarat, Bihar and Tamilnadu and some parts of rest of the country. The lowest minimum temperature of 10.2°C has been recorded at Balia (Uttar Pradesh) and Phulbani (Odisha) in plains of the country. ♦ RAINFALL : Rain/snow has occurred at one or two places over Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand. Rainfall has occurred at one or two places over SubHimalayan West Bengal & Sikkim, Assam, north interior Karnataka, Kerala and Tamilnadu. The chief amounts of rainfall (1 cm or more) recorded at 0830 hours IST of today are: Gangtok and Kalpa1 each.
♦ CLOUDS: Kalpana1 Cloud imagery at 1430 hours IST shows convective clouds over parts of southeast Arabian Sea. Low/medium clouds are seen over parts of western Himalayan region, Rajasthan, Saurashtra & Kutch, south interior Karnataka, Kerala, Sikkim, Assam & Meghalaya and Arunachal Pradesh.
