♦ FOG:
At 0830 hours IST of today fog/dense fog has been observed over many parts of Uttar Pradesh and some parts of Punjab, Haryana, Delhi and north Rajasthan. The stations where visibility 50M or less are: Chandigarh, Patiala, Ambala, Hissar, Bhiwani, Karnal, Narnaul, Ganganagar, Churu, Bharatpur, Pilani, Aligarh, Agra, Bareilly, Bharatpur, Hardoi, Behraich, Lucknow, Kanpur, Orai, Fursatganj, Allahabad and Gorakhpur.
 
TEMPERATURES: Cold wave conditions prevailed over some parts of Uttar Pradesh, and northwest Madhya Pradesh, isolated pockets of Haryana, Delhi and west Madhya Pradesh. The minimum temperature are below normal by 35° C over many parts of northwest India, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh and Konkan. They are above normal by 24° C over rest parts of the country outside Bihar and Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura where they are near normal. The lowest minimum temperature of 0.6°C has been recorded at Pilani (Rajasthan) in the plains of the country.
 
RAINFALL: Mainly dry weather prevailed over the country.
 
CLOUDS: Kalpana1 Cloud imagery at 0830 hours IST shows convective clouds over parts of north Jammu & Kashmir and south Bay of Bengal. Low/medium clouds are seen over rest parts of western Himalayan region, some parts of northwest India, Arunachal Pradesh and Tamilnadu.

The trough of low at mean sea level over southwest Bay of Bengal with embedded an upper air cyclonic circulation extending upto midtropospheric levels persists.

The feeble western disturbance as an upper air system over Jammu & Kashmir and neighbourhood would move away eastnortheast wards.

An upper air trough in lower levels extends from SubHimalayan West Bengal & Sikkim to westcentral Bay of Bengal now extends from Assam to north Bay of Bengal.
