♦ FOG:

At 0530 hours IST of today, fog/dense fog has occurred over some parts of plains of northwest India and northwest Madhya Pradesh. The stations where visibility has been reported 50 m or less are Churu, Lucknow, Ambala, Delhi and Gwalior.

♦ TEMPERATURES: Yesterday, cold day conditions prevailed over most parts of Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi and west Uttar Pradesh and isolated pockets of north Rajasthan and northwest Madhya Pradesh where maximum temperatures remained below normal in the range of 812

° C.
The maximum temperatures were also below normal by 24° C over rest parts of plains of northwest India and Gujarat region. The lowest maximum temperature of 8.6°C was recorded at Ganganagar (Rajasthan) and highest maximum temperature of 35.6°C was recorded at Sholapur (Maharashtra) in plains of the country.

♦ RAINFALL: 

Rainfall occurred at one or two places over Telangana, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Odisha and Andaman & Nicobar Islands. Weather remained mainly dry over rest of the country. The rainfall amount (1 cm or more) recorded at 1730 hours IST of yesterday was Nizamabad1.
♦ CLOUDS:
Kalpana1 Cloud imagery at 0530 hours IST shows convective clouds over parts of south Bay of Bengal and south Andaman sea. Low/medium clouds are seen over western Himalayan region, Punjab, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Odisha, Gangetic West Bengal, Arunachal Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Tamilnadu and Kerala.
 
The trough of low at mean sea level from southeast to eastcentral Arabian sea persists.
The trough of low at mean sea level now lies over central parts of south Bay of Bengal.
The feeble western disturbance lies over north Pakistan and neighbourhood as an upper air system.
The upper air cyclonic circulation over Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura persists.
