TEMPERATURE: yesterday, maximum temperatures were above normal by 26°C at many places over Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Rajasthan, Gujarat and northeastern states. They were below normal by 67° C at some places over Uttar Pradesh and Bihar; by 34° C over some parts of Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh. They were near normal over rest parts of the country. The highest maximum temperature of 37.0°C was recorded at Punalur( Kerala) in the country.

RAINFALL
: Weather was remained mainly dry over the country.
CLOUDS:
Kalpana1 Cloud imagery at 0530 hours IST shows convective clouds over parts of Jammu & Kashmir, west Rajasthan, north Gujarat and northeast Arabian sea. Low/medium clouds over rest parts of western Himalayan region, rest Rajasthan, Gujarat and parts of Punjab and Arunachal Pradesh.

The upper air cyclonic circulation over Assam and neighbourhood extending upto 2.1 km above mean sea level persists.

The trough of low pressure area from southeast Bay of Bengal to north Andaman sea persists.

A fresh western disturbance would effect western Himalayan region during next 48 hours.
