♦ TEMPERATURES: Minimum temperatures are below normal by about 4°C at isolated pockets of Haryana and west Uttar Pradesh. They are below normal by 23°C over many parts of rest northwest India and over some parts of Assam, Tamilnadu and coastal areas of Gujarat, Maharashtra, Odisha and north Andhra Pradesh. They are above normal by 23°C over some parts of southwest Madhya Pradesh, interior Maharashtra, north interior Karnataka and Telangana and near normal over rest parts of the country. The lowest minimum temperature of 3.9°C has been recorded at Churu (Rajasthan) in the plains of the country.
♦ RAINFALL (From 0830 hours IST of yesterday to 0830 hours IST of today): Rainfall has occurred at most places over Andaman & Nicobar Islands. Weather remained mainly dry over the country. The chief amounts of rainfall (1 cm or more) recorded at 0830 hours IST of today are: Long Islands5, Maya Bandar, Portblair, Hut Bay and Car Nicobar3 each.
♦ CLOUDS: Kalpana1: Cloud imagery at 0830 hours IST shows convective clouds over many parts of southeast & central Bay of Bengal and Andaman sea and some parts of southeast Arabian sea. Low/medium clouds are seen over parts of Jammu & Kashmir, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, north Haryana, Sikkim, Lakshadweep and Arunachal Pradesh.
♦ The low pressure area over southeast Bay of Bengal and neighbourhood now lies over central parts of south Bay of Bengal neighbourhood. It may
become well marked low pressure area during next 48 hours.
♦ A trough of low pressure area lies over Andaman Sea and neighbourhood.
♦ A feeble western disturbance lies over north Pakistan and adjoining Jammu & Kashmir as an upper air trough.
♦ Dry northwesterly winds are prevailing over Gangetic plains.
