♦ The upper air cyclonic circulation over south Tamilnadu and adjoining southwest Bay of Bengal in lower levels persists.
♦ The feeble western disturbance as an upper air system over Jammu & Kashmir and adjoining north Pakistan now lies over Jammu & Kashmir and neighbourhood. The system would move away eastwards.
♦ A western disturbance would affect western Himalayan region from 28th onwards.
♦ Dry northwesterly/westerly winds are prevailing over IndoGangetic plains in lower levels.
♦ TEMPERATURES: Minimum temperatures are below normal by 24° C over many parts of east Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, north Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Odisha, West Bengal, Assam and Tripura and by 23° C over some parts of Punjab, Haryana, north Rajasthan and Isolated pockets of Jammu division of Jammu & Kashmir and Uttarakhand. They are above normal by 24° C over many parts of Maharashtra, Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh. They are near normal over rest of the country. The lowest minimum temperature of 6.8°C has been recorded at Churu (Rajasthan) in plains of the country.
♦ RAINFALL (From 0830 of yesterday to 0830 hours IST of today): Rainfall has occurred at many places over Andaman & Nicobar Islands and at a few places over Tamilnadu and at one or two places over Arunachal Pradesh and east Assam. Weather remained mainly dry over rest of the country. The rainfall amounts (1 cm or more) recorded at 0830 hours IST of today are: Pamban5, Vedaranniyam4, Carnicobar and Long Islands3 each and Itanagar, Tondi and North Lakhimpur1 each.
♦ CLOUDS: Kalpana1: Cloud imagery at 0830 hours IST shows convective clouds over some parts of southwest Bay of Bengal, Andaman sea and southeast Arabian Sea. Low/medium clouds are seen over parts of western Himalayan region, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram & Tripura and south peninsular India.
