♦ The low pressure area over southwest & adjoining westcentral Bay of Bengal off north Tamilnadu and south Andhra Pradesh coasts persists. The associated upper air cyclonic circulation extends upto 3.6 km above mean sea level.
♦ The western disturbance as an upper air system over Jammu & Kashmir and neighbourhood is moving away eastnortheastwards.
♦ The western disturbance as an upper air system over north Pakistan and neighbourhood persists.
♦ TEMPERATURES: Maximum temperatures were below normal by 23° C over some parts of Haryana, west Uttar Pradesh, west Rajasthan and Bihar. They were above normal by 24° C over many parts of northeastern states, Odisha, Tamilnadu and Kerala and isolated pockets of Saurashtra & Kutch, Vidarbha,Telangana, Marathawada, Madhya Maharashtra and north Karnataka. The Highest maximum temperature of 35.0°C was recorded at K. Paramathy (Tamilnadu) in the country.
♦ RAINFALL : Light rainfall occurred at one or two places over coastal Andhra Pradesh and Tamilnadu. Weather remained mainly dry over rest of the country.
♦ CLOUDS: Kalpana1: Cloud imagery at 0530 hours IST shows convective clouds over some parts of Jammu & Kashmir, south coastal Andhra Pradesh, Tamilnadu, southeast & adjoining central Bay of Bengal and Andaman sea. Low/medium clouds are seen over rest parts of western Himalayan region and parts of Punjab, Haryana, north Rajasthan, northeastern States and peninsular India.
