Monsoon Report India 5 July 2012 Rainfall Report Forecast


·Southwest monsoon was active over Konkan & Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathawada and Gujarat State during past 24 hours.
·The Southwest Monsoon has further advanced into some more parts of north Arabian Sea, Gujarat state; remaining parts of Maharashtra and some more parts of Madhya Pradesh. The Northern Limit of Monsoon (NLM) passes through Lat 22.0°N/ Long. 60.0° E, Lat 22.0°N/ Long. 65.0°E, 22 .0°N/ Long. 68.0°E, Jamnagar, Ahmadabad, Ratlam, Sagar, Satna, Varanasi, Gorakhpur and Lat 28.0°N/ Long. 83.0°E on 4thth July 2012.
·Conditions are favourable for further advance of Southwest Monsoon into some more parts north Arabian Sea, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, some parts of Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh Jammu & Kashmir and east Rajasthan during next 3 days.
·The Satellite Kalpana-1 Cloud imagery at 1430 hours IST shows convective clouds over parts of Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal & Sikkim, northeastern states, Vidarbha, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, East Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Chhattisgarh, Orissa, northeast Arabian Sea. Low/medium clouds are seen over rest parts of the country outside West Rajasthan.
