Monsoon News India 4 July 2012 Rainfall Report Forecast
·Southwest monsoon was active over Orissa, Konkan & Goa, Coastal Karnataka and South Interior Karnataka during past 24 hours.
·Southwest Monsoon has further advanced into most parts of Maharashtra and some more parts of Madhya Pradesh. The Northern Limit of Monsoon (NLM) passes through Lat 21.0°N/ Long. 60.0° E, Lat 21.0°N/ Long. 65.0°E, Veraval, Navsari, Hoshangabad, Satna, Varanasi, Gorakhpur and Lat 28.0°N/ Long. 83.0°E on 3rdrd July 2012.
·Conditions are favourable for further advance of Southwest Monsoon into some more parts of Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh and some parts of Uttarakhand during next 3 days.
·The Satellite Kalpana-1 Cloud imagery at 1430 hours IST shows convective clouds over parts of interior Maharashtra, south Chhattisgarh, Orissa, north Andhra Pradesh, north interior Karnataka, central Bay of Bengal and east Arabian Sea. Low/medium clouds are seen over rest parts of the country outside Rajasthan.
