Monsoon News India 9 July 2012 Rainfall Report Forecast
·Southwest monsoon was active over Uttar Pradesh and Himachal Pradesh during past 24 hours.
·The Northern Limit of Monsoon (NLM) continues to pass through Lat 23.0°N/ Long. 60.0° E, Lat 23.0°N/ Long. 65.0°E, Naliya, Bhuj, Ahmedabad, Jaipur, Narnaul, Rohtak, Patiala, Ludhiana and Amritsar on 8thth July 2012.
·Conditions are favourable for further advance of Southwest Monsoon into some more parts of Gujarat State, Rajasthan, Haryana and Punjab during next 2-3 days.
·The Satellite Kalpana-1 Cloud imagery at 1430 hours IST shows convective clouds over parts of Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, south Andhra Pradesh, Bay of Bengal, Andaman Sea and southeast Arabian Sea. Low/medium clouds are seen over rest parts of the country.
