TEMPERATURES: Maximum temperatures rose by about 2°C over some parts of east Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh; fell by 24°C over some parts of Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, east Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, subHimalayan West Bengal, Jharkhand,Orissa, south madhya Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh and north interior Karnataka and changed a little elsewhere.They are above normal by 26° C over many parts of northeastern states and by 24° C over many parts of Punjab and Haryana and some parts of western Himalayan region, Rajasthan and west Uttar Pradesh; below normal by 24° C over some parts of Jharkhand, Orissa, coastal Andhra Pradesh and north interior Karnataka and near normal over rest parts of the country. The highest maximum temperature of 45.0°C has been recorded at Churu (Rajasthan).
RAINFALL : Rainfall has occured at many places over Rayalaseema; at a few places over Jammu & Kashmir, coastal Andhra Pradesh and Andaman & Nicobar Islands and at one or two places over Himachal Pradesh, east Rajasthan, west Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, SubHimalayan West Bengal & Sikkim, northeastern states, Madhya Pradesh, Jharkhand, Orissa, interior Maharashtra, north interior Karnataka, Kerala and Tamilnadu. The chief amounts of rainfall (in cm) recorded at 1730 hours IST of today are: Vellore3, Satna and Shillong2 each and Ratlam and Machilipatnam1 each.
CLOUDS: Kalpana1 Cloud imagery at 1730 hours IST shows convective clouds over some parts of Jammu & Kashmir, Haryana, Delhi, Rajasthan, west Uttar Pradesh, Manipur, Mizoram, west Madhya Pradesh, Madhya Maharashtra, south peninsular India and Andaman Sea. Low/medium clouds are seen over rest parts of the country except east Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, SubHimalayan West Bengal, Meghalaya, Tripura and Gujarat region.
