♦ Fog: Dense to very dense fog has been observed over most parts of Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, Delhi and Bihar in morning hours of today. The stations where visibility reduced to 50 m or less at 0830 hours IST of today are: Amritsar Ludhiana, Patiala, Ambala, Karnal, Hissar, Bhiwani, Rohtak, Delhi, Meerut, Bareilly, Hardoi, Shahjahanpur, Lucknow, Barabanki, Agra, Bahraich, Sultanpur, Allahabad, Fursatganj, Varanasi, Gorakhpur, Balia, Patna, Gaya and Purnea.
♦ TEMPERATURES: Cold wave conditions are prevailing over some parts of Haryana and in isolated pockets of Punjab. The stations where minimum temperatures have been recorded as 4°C or less at 0830 hrs IST of today are: Amritsar, Ludhiana, Patiala, Karnal, Hissar, Bhiwani, Rohtak, Narnaul, Sriganganagar, Churu, Delhi, Fatehgarh, Khajuraho and Umaria. Minimum temperatures fell by about 2°C over many parts of east Uttar Pradesh and adjoining Bihar, Sub Himalayan West Bengal and Saurastra & Kutch and changed a little elsewhere in the country. They are below normal by 24°C over many parts of IndoGangetic plain, northeast Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Orissa and northeastern states and near normal over rest parts of the country. The lowest minimum temperature of 0.4°C has been recorded at Adampur (Punjab) in the plains of the country.
♦ RAINFALL (from 0830 hours IST of yesterday to 0830 hours IST of today): Rainfall occurred at a few places over Tamilnadu and Andaman & Nicobar Islands.Weather remained mainly dry over rest parts of the country. The chief amounts of rainfall (1 cm or more) recorded at 0830 hours IST of today are: Pamban9 and Tondi and Tuticorin1 each.
♦ CLOUDS: Kalpana1 Cloud imagery at 1430 hours IST shows convective clouds over parts of Jammu & Kashmir, north Himachal Pradesh, coastal Tamilnadu, south Bay of Bengal, comorin area and south Arabian Sea. Low/medium clouds are seen over parts of rest western Himalayan region, north Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, Arunachal Pradesh, Maharashtra and central, east & rest south peninsular India.
