Weather report of 21 December 2011 India Climate Forecast



♦  Fog:  Dense to very dense fog has been observed over most parts of Uttar Pradesh and Bihar; some parts of Punjab, Haryana, Delhi and north West Bengal in morning hours of today. The stations where visibility reduced to 50 m or less  at 0830 hours IST of today are: Patiala,   Ambala,   Meerut,   Bareilly,   Agra,   Hardoi,   Kanpur,   Fursatganj,   Barabanki,   Banda, Sultanpur, Churk and Gwalior.

♦   TEMPERATURES:  Minimum temperatures  rose  by  2­4°C over  some parts  of Punjab, Haryana and east Rajasthan. They  are  below normal  by  2­3°C over  many  parts  of   Uttar Pradesh, central, east  and north peninsular India. They are near normal or above normal over rest parts of the country. The lowest minimum temperature of 3.0°C  has been recorded at Nazibabad (Uttar Pradesh) in the plains of the country.

♦ RAINFALL  (from   0830   hours   IST   of   yesterday   to   0830   hours   IST of   today): Rain/snowfall has occurred at a few places over Jammu & Kashmir. Rain has occured at a few places over Tamilnadu and at  one or two places over Kerala. Weather remained mainly dry over rest parts of the country.

♦  CLOUDS: Kalpana­1 Cloud imagery at 1430 hours IST shows convective clouds over parts of Jammu & Kashmir,  southwest Bay of Bengal and  Comorin area. Low/medium clouds are seen   over   parts   of   rest   western   Himalayan   region,   north   Punjab,   east   Madhya   Pradesh, Arunachal Pradesh and  peninsular India.
