Weather Report 15 December 2011 India Climate forecast



♦  Fog ; At 0530 hours of today dense to very dense fog has been observed over some parts of east Uttar  Pradesh and isolated pockets of Bihar  and sub­Himalayan West Bengal. The stations where visibility reduced to 50m or less are Bahraich, Lucknow, Sultanpur, Allahabad, Varanasi, Gaya and Malda.
♦  TEMPERATURES:  Yesterday maximum temperatures were below normal by 3­6°C over many parts of east Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and West Bengal & Sikkim and by 1­2°C over some parts of Rajasthan, Haryana, Punjab and west Uttar Pradesh.  They were above normal by 2­ 3°C over  some parts of Andhra Pradesh and near  normal   over  rest parts of the country. Yesterday   the  highest   maximum  temperature   of   35.6°C   was   recorded   at   Mangalore (Karnataka) in the plains of the country.
♦  RAINFALL (from 0830 hours IST to1730 hours IST of yesterday ):  Rainfall occurred at a few places over Tamilnadu. Weather remained mainly dry over remaining parts of the country. The chief amount of rainfall (1 cm & above)  recorded at 1730 hours IST of yesterday was: Vedaranniyam­1.
♦  CLOUDS: Kalpana­1 Cloud imagery at 0530 hours IST shows convective clouds over parts of north Jammu & Kashmir, south  Bay of Bengal and south Arabian sea. Low/medium clouds are seen over  parts of rest western Himalayan region, Sikkim, northeastern states, Gujarat, south Rajasthan, west Madhya Pradesh  and  south peninsular India.
