Weather report forecast 7 November 2011 India Climate



♦   From   0830   to1730   hours   IST   of   yesterday,   rainfall   occured   at   many   places   over
Lakshadweep ,Tamilnadu and Kerala and at one or two places over  south Interior Karnataka,
Sub­Himalayan West Bengal & Sikkim, Nagaland and Assam & Meghalaya. Weather remained
mainly  dry  over  rest parts  of the country. The chief amounts  of rainfall (1 cm and above)
recorded   at   1730   hours   IST   of   yesterday   were:   Aminidivi­9,   Punalur­5,   Valparai­4   and
Thiruvananthapuram­2.

♦  Yesterday minimum temperatures were above normal by about 2­4°C over many parts of
Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, Rajasthan, Gujarat, West Uttar Pradesh and north Madhya Pradesh.
They were below  normal by 2­3°C over many parts of  Orissa and north Andhra Pradesh and
some parts of northeastern states. They were near normal over the rest parts of the country.
Yesterday the lowest minimum temperature of 11.0°C  was recorded at Adampur (Punjab) in
plains of the country.

♦   Kalpana­1   cloud   imagery   at   0530   hours   IST   shows   convective   clouds   over   parts   of
Kerala,Tamilnadu, southwest Bay of Bengal, south Andaman sea and south and central Arabian
Sea.   Low/medium clouds  are seen  over  parts  of western  Himalayan Region, northeastern
States and rest south peninsular India.
