♦  From 0830 hours IST to 1730 hours IST of today rainfall has occurred at many places over
Lakshadweep and Tamilnadu; at a few places over  Kerala and south interior Karnataka and at
one  or  two  places  over  Sub­Himalayan  West Bengal  & Sikkim and  Meghalaya. The  chief
amounts of rainfall (1 cm and above) recorded at 1730 hours IST of today are: Cuddalore­4,
Chennai  and  Salem­3 each and Tiruchchirapalli­1.

♦  Maximum temperatures are below normal by about 2°C over parts of Punjab, Haryana and
Uttar   Pradesh.   They   are   above   normal   by   3­4°C   over   parts   of   west   Rajasthan,   Madhya
Pradesh, Orissa, Andhra Pradesh and over west coast of India and near normal over the rest
parts of the country. The  highest  maximum  temperature of  37.0°C  has been recorded at
Surendranagar (Gujarat) in plains of the country.

♦  Kalpana­1 cloud imagery at 1730 hours IST shows convective clouds over parts of south
peninsular India, Andaman sea and  central parts of south and adjoining central Arabian Sea.
Low/medium clouds are seen over parts of Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Arunachal
Pradesh rest south peninsular India.
