Balasore, Keongjhargarh, Raipur, Akola, Malegaon, Dahanu, Lat. 20.0°N / Long. 70.0°E and Lat. 20.0°N /Long. 60.0°E.
Main Weather Observations
♦ From 0830 hours IST of yesterday to 0830 hours IST of today, fairly widespread rainfall has occured over Konkan & Goa,
Madhya Maharashtra, Karnataka, Kerala and Andaman & Nicobar Islands; scattered over Orissa, Marathawada, Rayalaseema
and Tamilnadu and isolated over Uttarakhand, south Gujarat, Chhattisgarh, Gangetic West Bengal and Telengana. Weather
remained mainly dry over remaining parts of the country. The chief amounts of rainfall (1 cm and above) recorded at 0830 hours
IST of today are: Tondi9, Honawar4, Coimbatore and Madurai3 each, Belgaon, Agumbe, Coonoor, Punalur and Port Blair2
each and Angul, Mumbai (Santacruz), Sangli, Parbhani, Mangalore (Bajpe), Kovilangulam and Hutbay1 each.
♦ Minimum temperatures are above normal by 25°C over many parts of Gujarat and by 23°C over many parts of Rajasthan,
Madhya Pradesh, West Bengal, Maharashtra and Telangana and some parts of Punjab, Haryana, west Uttar Pradesh,
northeastern states and Tamilnadu. They are near normal over rest parts of the country. The lowest minimum temperature of
15.0°C has been recorded at Khandwa (Madhya Pradesh) in plains of the country.
♦ Kalpana1 cloud imagery at 0830 hours IST shows convective clouds over parts of Kerala, Tamilnadu, eastcentral & south
Bay of Bengal, north Andaman Sea and southeast Arabian Sea. Low/medium clouds are seen over western Himalayan region,
Haryana, east Rajasthan, northwest
Uttar Pradesh, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Gujarat and west Karnataka.
