RAINFALL Details in India for the Season in October:
Rainfall was normal in 02, deficient/scanty in 28 and no rain in 06 out of 36 meteorological sub-divisions. (Actual: 5.5 mm, Normal: 20.8 mm and Departure: -74%).
Widespread rainfall occurred over Andaman & Nicobar Islands for one or two days of the week.
Fairly widespread rainfall occurred over Andaman & Nicobar Islands for many days and over Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram & Tripura for a few days of the week.
Scattered rainfall occurred over Madhya Maharashtra, Tamilnadu & Puducherry and South Interior Karnataka for a few days and over Andaman & Nicobar Islands, northeastern states, Himachal Pradesh, Marathawada, Telangana, Rayalaseema and North Interior Karnataka for one or two days of the week.
Isolated rainfall occurred over Assam & Meghalaya, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal & Sikkim, Orissa, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Konkan & Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, Tamilnadu & Puducherry, Telangana, Rayalaseema and North Interior Karnataka for many days, over Arunachal Pradesh, Jharkhand, Bihar, East Uttar Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, Gujarat state, Marathawada, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Coastal Karnataka and South Interior Karnataka for a few days and over Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram & Tripura, Gangetic West Bengal, West Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, East Rajasthan, West Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh and Kerala for one or two days of the week.
