♦  The withdrawal line of southwest monsoon continues to pass through Lat. 22.0°N / Long. 93.0°E,
Balasore, Keongjhargarh, Raipur, Akola, Malegaon, Dahanu, Lat. 20.0°N / Long. 70.0°E and Lat. 20.0°N /
Long. 60.0°E.

Main Weather Observations
♦   From 0830­1730  hours  IST of   today, fairly  widespread  rainfall has  occured  over  Madhya Maharashtra;
scattered over Tamilnadu, Kerala and Andaman & Nicobar islands and isolated over Gujarat region, Assam and
Orissa. Weather remained mainly dry over rest of the country. The chief amounts of rainfall (1 cm and above)
recorded at 1730 hours IST of today are:  Karaikal­3, Salem, Belgaum, Mahabaleshwar and Nasik­2 each and
Long Island­1.
♦  Maximum temperatures are above normal by 3­5°C over some parts of Gujarat, central & adjoining east and
northwest India. They are near normal over remaining parts of the country. The lowest maximum temperature of
39.5°C has been recorded at Surendranagar (Gujarat) in plains of the country.
♦   Kalpana­1  cloud  imagery  at 1730  hours  IST shows  convective  clouds  over  parts  of Karnataka, Kerala,
Tamilnadu, Madhya Maharashtra, Gujarat region, central & south Bay of Bengal, north Andaman Sea and south
Arabian  sea. Low/medium clouds  are  seen  over  western  Himalayan  region, Arunachal Pradesh, Jharkhand,
Assam and rest south peninsular, west & central  India.
