Rainfall: Rain/thundershowers has occurred at many places over Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Konkan & Goa, Telangana and Karnataka; at a few places over Uttarakhand, West Uttar Pradesh, Haryana and Kerala and at isolated places over East Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal & Sikkim, Assam, Chhattisgarh, Andhra Pradesh, Tamilnadu & Lakshadweep. The amounts of rainfall (1 cm or more) recorded at 1730 hours IST of today are: Portblair-­6; Shivpuri & Dehradun­-4 each; Hissar, Mahabaleshwar & Mayabandar­-3 each; Bareilly, Bahraich, Basirhat & Madikeri-­2 each and Meerut, Long Islands, Visakhapatnam, Kakinada & Agumbe­-1 each. 

♦ Maximum temperatures are above normal by 2-­3°C at most places over Bihar, Rayalaseema, Kerala & Tamilnadu; at many places over Gangetic West Bengal; at a few places over Punjab, East Uttar Pradesh & Odisha and at isolated places over Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, West Uttar Pradesh, north Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat and Interior Karnataka. They are below normal by 2-­3°C at most places over Vidarbha; at many places over Marathwada; at a few places over Odisha and at isolated places over south Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Telangana and near normal over rest of the country. 

Kalpana 1: Cloud imagery of 1730 hours IST shows convective clouds are seen over some parts of northwest, east & northeast India and Bay of Bengal. Low/medium clouds are seen over many parts of rest of the country.
