Rainfall: Rain/thundershowers has occurred at most places over West Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Maharashtra, Konkan & Goa and Andaman & Nicobar Islands; at many places over East Madhya Pradesh; at a few places over Assam & Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, South Interior Karnataka and Lakshadweep and at isolated places over Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh & Delhi, Gangetic West Bengal, Odisha, Gujarat region, Marathwada, North Interior Karnataka, Telangana, Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Tamilnadu. The amounts of rainfall (1 cm or more) recorded at 1730 hours IST of today are: Akola, Hoshangabad & Betul­-7 each; Seoni­-4; Kailashahar & Passighat-­3 each; Rajgarh, Bhopal, Mahabaleshwar & Mangaluru-­2 each; Ratlam, Sagar, Portblair, Aurangabad, Kodaikanal, Bangaluru, Coochbehar, Chandbali, Silchar, Valprai & Kottayam-­1 each. 

♦ Maximum temperatures are above normal by 2-­4°C at many places over Himachal Pradesh, Bihar, Gangetic West Bengal, Odisha and Coastal Andhra Pradesh; at a few places over East Uttar Pradesh, Jharkhand, Assam & Meghalaya, East Rajasthan, West Madhya Pradesh, Saurashtra & Kutch, Rayalaseema and Tamilnadu; at isolated places over West Rajasthan, Konkan & Goa and Kerala. They are below normal by 5-­7°C at most places over Vidarbha; by 2-­4°C at a few places over Arunachal Pradesh, Madhya Maharashtra and Telangana and near normal over rest of the country. 

Kalpana 1: Cloud imagery of 1730 hours IST shows convective clouds are seen over most parts of north Konkan & Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada and some parts of Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Rajasthan, Gujarat region, Madhya Pradesh, Sub­-Himalayan West Bengal & Sikkim, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam & Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram & Tripura, Telangana, Kerala, Karnataka, Tamilnadu & Puducherry, east Arabian sea, Bay of Bengal and Andaman sea. Low/medium clouds are seen over rest parts of the country.
