Rainfall: Rain/thundershowers has occurred at most places over Gujarat, Konkan & Goa, Kerala and Lakshadweep; at many places over Bihar, West Bengal & Sikkim, Assam & Meghalaya, Odisha, Jharkhand and Chhattisgarh; at a few places over Madhya Pradesh, South Interior Karnataka and Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram & Tripura and at isolated places over Jammu & Kashmir, Uttarakhand, Punjab, West Rajasthan, Vidarbha, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, Telangana, Rayalaseema, North Interior Karnataka, Andaman & Nicobar islands and Tamilnadu. The amounts of rainfall (1 cm or more) recorded at 1730 hours IST of today are: Kochi & Veraval-­9 each; Mahabaleshwar-­7; Minicoy & Mumbai (Colaba)-­5 each; Mumbai (Santacruz)-­4; Ambikapur, Balasore, Amreli, Jharsuguda, Waltair & Kakinada-­3 each; Surat, Chennai, Tuni, Contai, Rajgarh & Bhagalpur-­2 each and Nalia, Okha, Ahmadabad, Indore, Jabalpur, Nagpur, Jagdalpur & Alibag­-1 each. 

♦ Maximum temperatures are above normal by 2-­4°C at many places over East Madhya Pradesh and Vidarbha; at a few places over Himachal Pradesh, West Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat state, North Interior Karnataka and Tamilnadu; at isolated places over Madhya Maharashtra and Coastal Karnataka. They are below normal by 2­-4°C at many places over Bihar and Coastal Andhra Pradesh; at a few places over Gangetic West Bengal, Konkan & Goa and Kerala and near normal over rest of the country. 

Kalpana1: Cloud imagery of 1730 hours IST shows convective clouds over most parts of Gujarat state and some parts of Jammu & Kashmir, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Chandigarh & Delhi, Rajasthan, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha, West Bengal & Sikkim, northeastern states, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Rayalaseema, Karnataka, Kerala,Tamilnadu & Pudducherry, east & southeast Arabian sea, Bay of Bengal and Andaman sea. Low/medium clouds are seen over rest parts of the country.
