Rainfall: Rain/thundershowers occurred at most places over Kerala; at many places West Bengal & Sikkim, Bihar and Andaman & Nicobar Islands; at a few places over Arunachal Pradesh, Assam & Meghalaya and Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram & Tripura; at isolated places over East Uttar Pradesh, East Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, Vidarbha, Madhya Maharashtra, Telangana and North Interior Karnataka. The amounts of rainfall (2 cm or above) recorded at 1730 hours IST of yesterday were: Krishnanagar­-12; Thiruvananthapuram­-7; Gangtok-­6; Shantiniketan-5; Burdwan, Purnea & Khajuraho-­3 each and Bhagalpur, Behrampore, Tadong, Panagarh & Cochin Nedumbassery-­2 each 

♦ Yesterday, the maximum temperatures were above normal by 2-­4°C at most places over Coastal Karnataka; at many places over Punjab, Odisha, Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Kerala; at a few places over Vidarbha and Chhattisgarh; at isolated places over Himachal Pradesh, East Uttar Pradesh, East Madhya Pradesh, Madhya Maharashtra and Tamilnadu. They were below normal by 2­-6°C at most places over Gangetic West Bengal and Bihar; at many places over Jammu & Kashmir and at a few places over Sub­Himalayan West Bengal & Sikkim and near normal over rest of the country. The highest Maximum temperature of 41.1° C was recorded at Delhi (Palam Airport). 

Kalpana1: Cloud imagery of 0530 hours IST shows convective clouds over some parts of Bihar, Jharkhand, East Madhya Pradesh, East Uttar Pradesh, North Chhattisgarh, Gangetic West Bengal, Assam & Meghalaya, Vidarbha, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Kerala, southeast Arabian sea, Comorin area, Bay of Bengal and Andaman sea. Low/medium clouds are seen over rest parts of the country outside Jammu&Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab and West Rajasthan.
