Rainfall: Rain/thundershowers has occurred at most places over Arunachal Pradesh, Assam & Meghalaya and Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram & Tripura; at many places over Sub-­Himalayan West Bengal & Sikkim, Tamilnadu, Kerala and Andaman & Nicobar Islands; at a few places over South Interior Karnataka, Rayalaseema and at isolated places over West Rajasthan, Vidarbha, Jharkhand, Odisha, Gengetic West Bengal, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, North Interior Karnataka and Lakshadweep. Weather remained dry over rest of the country. The amounts of rainfall (in cm) recorded at 0830 IST of today are: Cherrapunji & Kailashahar-­6 each; Vellore, Tondi, Kottayam & Tiruchchirapalli-­4 each; Arogyavaram, Thanjavur, Puducherry & North Lakhimpur-­3 each and Agartala, Pasighat, Tezpur, Guwahati, Goalpada, Silchar, Lengpui, Bikaner, Anantapur, Karaikal, Udhagamandalam & Hutbay­-2 each. 

♦ Minimum temperatures are above normal by 2-­4°C at many places over Odisha & Telangana; at a few places over Rajasthan, West Uttar Pradesh, Gengetic West Bengal and Saurashtra & Kutch and isolated places over Madhya Maharashtra & Coastal Andhra Pradesh. They are below normal by 2­-5°C at many places over Himachal Pradesh, East Madhya Pradesh, Assam & Meghalaya, Rayalaseema & Tamilnadu; at a few places over Chhattisgarh and at isolated places over West Uttar Pradesh and near normal over rest of the country. The highest maximum temperature of 47.0°C has been recorded at Daltonganj (Jharkhand) and Titlagarh (Odisha). 

Kalpana 1: Cloud imagery of 0830 hours IST shows convective clouds over some parts of Kerala, Tamilnadu, southeast Arabian Sea, Comorin Area, south Bay of Bengal and Andaman sea. Low/medium clouds are seen over rest parts of the country outside East Uttar Pradesh and West Madhya Pradesh.
