Rainfall: Rain/thundershowers has occurred at most places over Andaman & Nicobar Islands; at many places over Sub-­Himalayan West Bengal & Sikkim, South Interior Karnataka, Kerala and Lakshadweep area; at a few places over Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Haryana, Chandigarh & Delhi; at isolated places over Punjab, West Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, north Madhya Pradesh, Gangetic West Bengal, Assam & Meghalaya, Odisha, Madhya Maharashtra and Rayalaseema. Weather remained dry over rest of the country. The amounts of rainfall (in cm) recorded at 0830 hours IST of today are: Punalur-­7; Agathi & Thiruvananthapuram­-5 each; Gangtok, Hutbay, Bangalore & Alapuzha-­4 each; Dhubri, Portblair & Arogyavaram­-3 each; Bhuntar, Agra, Darjeeling, Long Island & Mandya-­2 each; Bikaner, Churu, Pilani, Gorakhpur, Kalimpong, Kochin & Kanniyakumari-­1 each.

♦ Minimum temperatures are above normal by 2-­4°C at most places over West Bengal & Sikkim; at many places over Gujarat state, Vidarbha, Odisha, Coastal Andhra Pradesh and northeastern states; at a few places over Chhattisgarh, Marathawada and Telangana; at isolated places over Punjab, Uttarakhand, south Rajasthan, Bihar, Jharkhand, south Madhya Pradesh, Konkan & Goa and North Interior Karnataka. They are below normal by 2­-4°C at a few places over Haryana, Chandigarh & Delhi, north Rajasthan and Kerala; at isolated places over East Uttar Pradesh, north Madhya Pradesh, Rayalaseema, South Interior Karnataka & Tamilnadu and near normal over rest of the country. Yesterday the highest maximum temperature of 47.5°C was recorded at Wardha ( Maharashtra ). 

Kalpana 1: Cloud imagery of 0830 hours IST shows convective clouds over some parts of Bihar, Sub­-Himalayan West Bengal & Sikkim, south Arabian sea, Comorin area, Bay of Bengal and Andaman sea. Low/medium clouds are seen over rest parts of the country outside Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh & Delhi, East Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Marathawada and Vidarbha.
