♦  Rainfall:  Rain/thundershowers occurred at a few places over East  Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Gangetic West Bengal, East Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Vidarbha and Andaman & Nicobar Islands and at isolated places over West Madhya Pradesh, Odisha and   Lakshadweep.   Weather remained dry over rest of the country. The amounts of rainfall (1 cm or more) recorded at 1730 hours IST of yesterday were: Pendra Road­6; Rajnadgaon­5; Noncowry & Raipur­3 each; Port Blair, Satna & Mana­2 each; Canning, Rewa, Lucknow, Jabalpur, Varanasi, Chandrapur & Bilaspur­1 each.

Temperature: Yesterday, maximum temperatures were above normal by 2­4°C at many places over Himachal Pradesh, Saurashtra & Kutch, Andhra Pradesh and Tamilnadu; at a few places over Assam & Meghalaya and at isolated places over Gangetic West Bengal, West   Rajasthan, Maharashtra and Karnataka. They were below normal by 5­8°C at many places over East Uttar Pradesh, East Madhya Pradesh  &  Chhattisgarh and by 2­4°C at many places over Bihar, Odisha and at a few places over West Madhya Pradesh and at isolated places over Bihar & Vidarbha  and Chhattisgarh and near normal over rest of the country.

Kalpana 1: Cloud imagery of 0530 hours IST shows convective clouds over some parts of Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, East Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, East Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, southeast Bay of Bengal, south Andaman sea and southeast Arabian Sea. Low/medium clouds are seen over  rest parts of the country out side Rajasthan, Gujarat, West Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra.
