♦ Temperature: Heat wave to severe heat wave condition were prevailed at many places over Punjab, Haryana & Delhi, Rajasthan, north Madhya Pradesh and Vidarbha and at isolated places over Chhattisgarh and rest Madhya Pradesh.Maximum temperatures were above normal by 4-6°C at many places over Punjab, Haryana & Delhi, Rajasthan, Madhya
Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Vidarbha; at a few places over Jharkhand and Madhya Maharashtra; at isolated places over western Himalayan region and near normal over rest parts of the country. Maximum temperatures of 47.0°C and more recorded at:
Churu-48.3, Ganganagar-48.0, Delhi(Palam) and Satna-47.6, Chandrapur-47.3, Hissar, Nowgong and Khajuraho-47.0 each.
♦ Kalpana-1: Cloud imagery of 0530 hours IST shows convective clouds over some parts of Bihar, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Assam & Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, coastal Kerala, Coastal Karnataka, central & south Arabian sea, northeast, eastcentral
& south Bay of Bengal and Andaman Sea. Low/medium clouds are seen over rest parts of the country outside Punjab, Haryana, west Uttar Pradesh and west Rajasthan.
