Fog Watch
♦ Fog: Very dense to dense fog (Visibility < 200 M) has been observed at a few places over Rajasthan, Haryana, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh and shallow fog has also been occurred at a few places over Punjab, Haryana, SubHimalayan West Bengal, south Assam and Tripura during morning hours. Visibility (<50 M) recorded at 0830 hours IST at Pantnagar, Bhiwani, Narnaul, Churu, Jaipur, Kota, Delhi (Palam), Aligarh, Agra, Bahraich , Ujjain, Bhopal, Malanjkhand, Kalimpong, Jalpaiguri, Coochbehar, Majbat and Imphal.
Cold Watch
♦ The lowest minimum temperature of 2.1°C has been recorded at Hissar (Haryana) in plains of the country.
♦ Ground frost (minimum temperature < 4°C) has been observed at isolated places over Punjab, south Haryana and west Rajasthan.
♦ Cold wave conditions are prevailing at a few places over Saurashtra & Kutch.
Main Weather Observations:
♦ RAINFALL: Light rain/snowfall has occurred at isolated places over Jammu & Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh. Rain/thundershowers has occurred at isolated places over east Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Odisha, Gangetic West Bengal, Assam, coastal Tamilnadu and Andaman & Nicobar Islands. Weather remained mainly dry/dry over rest parts of the country. The amounts of rainfall (in cm) recorded at 0830 hours IST of today are: Kalpa, Raisen, Malanjkhand and Nancowry1 each.
♦ Temperatures: Minimum temperatures are below normal by 46°C at a few places over south Haryana, southwest Rajasthan, Saurashtra & Kutch and by 23°C at a few places over Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, south interior Karnataka and
isolated places over west Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat, Konkan, Madhya Maharashtra and Sikkim. They are above normal by 24°C at a few places over east Uttar Pradesh, east Madhya Pradesh, north Chhattisgarh; at isolated places over Bihar, Jharkhand, Gangetic West Bengal, Vidarbha and west Telangana and near normal over rest parts of the country.
♦ Kalpana1: Cloud imagery at 1430 hours IST shows convective clouds over some parts of northeast Jammu & Kashmir and southwest Bay of Bengal. Low/medium clouds are seen over some parts of rest western Himalayan region, Gangetic West Bengal, Andaman & Nicobar Kerala, Tamilnadu and northeastern states.
